I'd like to make a toast.

Hello hello! My name is Morgan, and this is my mixology blog. I'm not an expert by any means, but I love learning new drink recipes and testing out different ingredient combinations.

It all started when I started working in a restaurant. I was hired on as a hostess part-time while in college, and the service industry changed my life - for better or for worse.

I eventually worked up through the ranks and they asked me if I would be interested in bar tending. It seemed so intimidating, especially because we had some of the best cocktails in the city. But of course, I said yes and started training from the best.

Long story short, I kind of loved it. I say "kind of" because I'm not much of a people person and it was exhausting. Not to mention that we were entertaining a bar full of guests in addition to making cocktails and pouring drinks for the whole restaurant. It did, however, evoke a passion for flavors that I never knew I had. Getting the acidity to sweetness ratio just perfect was thrilling, and having a guest go bananas over your cocktail is a great feeling.
